An Atherton Garden
Our client's primary directive was to create a serene and rich landscape. This goal was achieved while providing a lush plant lovers dream. Contrasting and complimentary forms, colors and textures dominate this garden while a feeling of tranquility prevails. A secondary goal was to give depth to the garden. This was accomplished by planting a screen of shrubs and trees between major garden spaces. A grove of trees was planted to create a visual barrier between the tennis court and pool. Similarly, plantings were installed in a configuration to give a sense of entry and to restrict views of the garden beyond.
